my name is Jeff H and I need to know what kind of turnaround time you have on your axes. I can keep it real simple if it helps. I realized last night that I have a firefighter with 30 years service this year (2003) and wanted to get him a mounted axe. Is there any way I could get an axe or one mounted by the 17th. of January. I can mount myself if needed. I know this is extremly short notice.

Just wanted to take a minute to say Hi! and let you know you really made my evening. I was looking for some cool Christmas gift ideas for my daughter, a paramedic who is presently in the Fire Academy down here in Chesapeake, Virginia. She's due to graduate in January. So I did a search on the web for "firefighter gifts"... and low and behold, I found your web site ! Wow - you have a great selection and what a great place for me to do my shopping tonight, Not to mention, when I read, "Gift store proprietor Gene Furmanek is a retired suburban (Alsip) Fire Fighter." it made me feel like I was back in the old neighborhood again. I grew up on the Southside in a small little unincorporated area called Garden Homes; located in between Alsip and Mt Greenwood. (115th st - 119th st) I was from the era that used to walk to school when we attended what used to be the grade school there, that was then called Atwood Heights. ...now I think its offices. (Ok, so I'm showing my age now) But what a small world it is - esp with the internet, hey ? and here I am now down in Virginia and delighted to have found this web site of yours to finish up my Christmas shopping.

just had to send you a THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I just received my order and I am more than happy with everything. The afghan is just absolutely beautiful! Much better in person than on the site. I took it to work today and everyone thought it was so unique and asked where I got it from. Of course I was more than happy to tell them all about your site and the outstanding stuff that you have on it. The license plate frame is great and I'm sure will look just as great on my son's truck!!! The card is just perfect for my sons upcoming graduation at the end of the month. Speaking of my son, the delivery man handed him the package when it came, so he now knows that I puchased things from your store for him, but doesn' t know what!!! Timing is everything!!!! Future happy customer
Now I know where heaven is, its in the chicago land area. Come on, the home of Da Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and the Chicago Fire Store. I am from Wisconsin, about two hours north of Chicago, and I was looking for hats and/or shirts from fire departments in the USA. (Mostly big citys.) I have to say your online store is always just incredible. I found about 20 shirts and hats that I plan on buying, over the next year or so. (If my wife will let me. ha ha.) I just saw so much that I want and have been looking for. I was going to collect patches, but no one will really see them, on display at home. I received a ball cap from the City of Milwaukee fire dept. and a shirt from the San Diego fire department, for Christmas. I'm going to go with hats and shirts instead. With my shirt size, I figure I'll be the best walking billboard for the departments I find. I plan on starting with the city I've only visited, for 2 Cubs games and a handful of Hawks games and trip to museums. It's the city that I love. I always feel at home in Chicago. At one time, I dreamed of moving to Chicago to become a firefighter. But a few events in my life and having a larger mid section, as well as being extremly afraid of heights, prevented this dream. I'm going to have to support the people in this feild a diffrent way. I have a friend that is a local police officer where I live, and his buddy got him a CPD ball cap from your store a few years back. When I asked him for the name of the store, he could not remember where it was. He just stumbled upon it when he was in your neighborhood. I have found you now, and plan on driving down to visit the store. I also plan on doing a lot of mail order. (If my wife allows me. ha ha.) One more thing, do you have access to product from other cities, like Las Vegas or Houston, etc., etc.? Do you have mail order catalogs that you send out to customers. Thank you for your time and I hope to do business with you real soon.

I'm a voluntary firefighter here in Lucerne, Switzerland (our city has no professional firefighters). My wife works for the police academy of the central part of Switzerland. Both are we true fans of the United States. And everywhere we stay in the U.S., we are looking for police and firefighter souvenirs. In 11 days we'll be leaving for our next trip to the U.S. We will start at Chicago. We'd love to see the chicago fire store, but we're only a few days in town (july 19-21) and we'll get our car not till the end of our stay in Chicago (and we're heading northwest). Still I'd like to order some items for my wife and me, but the shipping cost outside of the U.S. are rather high. Would it be possible to send the ordered items to our hotel in Chicago downtown so we could pick them up there? Thanks

I did get your email. Thanks for the info. I am going to try hard to get to Squad 2. I might stop by E1 down town. I stopped at the fire store in oak lawn on Thursday. I met Gene and spent alot of money. You guys have alot of great stuff. That is now my favourite store. I will definitely be back.   Hello, my name is Julie and I just found your Chicago Fire Store web site tonight while I was looking for a birthday gift for my husband. I was so happy to see all of the different merchendise that you sell. My husband is on our local fire dept., and he is also a police officer. I was very glad that you had things for the two things he is the best at. I also had a question about more items for the wives of firefighters and police officers, (or females in these professions) can you get more items geared more toward the ladies? It would be nice to be able to give gifts to these women during the award dinners and holiday dinners that we have yearly.
